The AEC WorldBeat Exhibit

WorldBeat is an interactive, computer-based exhibit about computers and music. It demonstrates how computers can help you playing, improvising, composing, conducting, listening to, and learning about music.

Walking up to the exhibit, you just see a 21" monitor mounted on the wall, and a funny pair of sticks dangling from the ceiling, which turn out to be infrared "batons". Just point at the screen with them to select on-screen buttons, to conduct, to play various instruments, and so on.
