This is a collection of documents, notes, and resources that have come out of the part time work we (Hans Andersen and Jeff Raymakers) have done for the GroupStorm project.
The Room Applet for Mac OS X - The RoomApplet, wrapped in an executable application. Not all features work properly, but I've seen the lights and projector controls work at least twice. :-) The caveats for the Event Heap Debugger apply to this as well.
Event Heap Debugger for Mac OS X - The iROS Event Heap Debugger, wrapped in an executable application. There's something weird about wrapped Java apps; I have seen them fail to load properly if they are placed in certain directories. In general, I've had success running them from the desktop, from the user's home folder, and from the Applications folder. If you can't get it to launch, try moving it to one of these directories.
Cocoa Event Heap Server for Mac OS X - An Event Heap 2 Server, completely wrapped in a cocoa interface. This took about half a day to toss together and polish.
Porting the iRoom to Mac OS X - Notes on technical difficulties, technologies, etc.
RightBrain UI Spec - A document describing the user interface for a PostBrainstorm-style whiteboard with non-rectangular content groups.
Cortex Overview Document (pdf) - Now that PostBoard is as done as it will ever be, the next step for GroupStorm is to create a cross-platform persistent environment for group project work, featuring a new (and improved!) GroupStorm whiteboard application as a centerpiece. This document is an early attempt at outlining such a system.
PostBoard Release 1.0 - To get PostBoard, download the appropriate jar file, the two xml files, and the instructions for your version. The instructions explain how to install and run PostBoard.
Brainstorming notes on content grouping on whiteboards (TXT) - A writeup of some brainstorming (1/29/02), including notes on the content grouping system that we discussed at the GroupStorm meeting on 1/18/02, for GroupStorm's next iteration.
